Taproot Theatre comes to FHES

Taproot Theatre Touring Group came to present their new show,
Alexander and the Dragon. Co-sponsored by the FHES PTA and San Juan Island
Prevention Coalition, this production took the 1st through 5th graders on a magical journey as a student realizes his friend is bullying the new kid at school. They help the kids to remember the 3 R's: recognize, refuse, report the bullying behavior. The students of FHES also signed a "banner contract" with the word RESPECT on it, to help start the school year off on a positive note.

Results of meeting on 9/17/08

As a result of the meeting to discuss crumb rubber on the FHES playground, it was decided that the decision to replace the material, or not replace it, is out of the hands of the FHES PTA. The School Board will meet on September 24th, and parents or community members who would like to share information with the School Board are encouraged to do so.

Please help us

The online survey of crumb rubber is up, and we would appreciate it if you would only answer the survey question one time. IP addresses are recorded, so there is no need to answer the survey more than once.

We would like to get an accurate response for this survey, and sincerely appreciate your cooperation.

2 Scoops of Fun

Cookie dough, vanilla or ice cream cake? Those were the flavors du jour for FHES's 1st Ice Cream Social last night. Everyone enjoyed sundaes while mingling with Principal Gary Pflueger and playing on the big toy. Thanks to Shannon Calverley for organizing the social and all the helpful scoopers. And a big thanks to Jan Bollwinkel-Smith, Kim Ott, Liz Seaton and Shanar Fox for making the dream of a new playground a reality!
