Welcome Back & Mark your calendars!

Our first general PTA meeting and ICE CREAM SOCIAL 
will be held on Wednesday, September 12th at 6pm. Childcare provided. 

Wanna have fun and contribute while your kids grow with us? The following positions are open this year and we really need 'YOU'r help to make it a HUGE SUCCESS! 

Scholastic Book Fair Co-Chairs
Lice Coordinators 
Bulletin Board Coordinator
Winter/Spring Enrichment Chair 
Volunteer Coordinator
Field Day Coordinator
Room Parents- two for each class (to serve as the liason between PTA, teacher and classroom parents. Encouraged to attend a total of 3 quarterly PTA meetings for the year.)

If you are interested in serving on our board, have ideas or something to share then please come to our board meetings on the first Tuesday of every month. Our next meeting is on October 2nd.

Hello from the FHES PTA! :)

Summer has flown by and the fair is almost here! Knowing that it's that time of year again, we could really use your incredible talents to help make this year our best pie booth yet! 

Step one:
Please join us anytime from 2pm-9pm on Monday, August 13th to make pies at the FHHS kitchen.

Step two:
Sign up to help us at the fair on the following days & times..

Wednesday 8/15

4-7        1 volunteer
7-9:30   3 volunteers

Thursday 8/16

10-1      1 volunteer
1-4        2 volunteers
4-7        3 volunteers
7-9:30   3 volunteers

Friday 8/17

1-4        3 volunteers

Timely Art Education Matching Funds Opportunity!

Matching Gift Opportunity: Help support visual arts education for our elementary and middle school students! 
The San Juan Island Community Foundation has created a Matching Gift Opportunity. They will match 50% of EVERY donation* made to the Arts in our Schools:  STEAM II program through the Foundation's website (*up to $5,000).  So, we need to raise $10,000 to take full advantage. We have received $3,000 already, so just $7,000 to go. Donations of any amount are welcome!

Prefer to donate by check? No worries! Simply make the check out to SJICF and be sure to write For Arts in our Schools: STEAM II matching program. Then mail to SJI Community Foundation, P.O.
